The Strategy
Hartwall Sport claims the 'Home Field Advantage' - harnessing Finnish sporting culture's unique blend of community support, domestic reliability, and determination.
Initial concept testing revealed challenges. In a growing sports drink category, Hartwall Sport lacked differentiation and energy. The solution? Transform Finnish heritage from limitation to strength by connecting directly with the Finnish sports mindset.
The strategy builds on four key pillars: home field advantage through dependable domestic brand, resilient identity that unites all Finns, community support for national sporting culture, and enabling personal progress at every athletic level.
This foundation draws on Hartwall's trusted legacy while capturing the Finnish sporting spirit. The brand balances encouragement with authenticity, credibility with motivation - championing the determination that defines Finnish sports.
We also developed a targeted launch strategy guiding content across platforms. The campaign emphasised inclusivity, motivation through shared experiences, reliability through local partnerships, and community through the symbolic passing of support between generations.

The visual system blends heritage with fresh energy: retro-inspired colors meet vibrant product hues conveying movement and taste. The logo references traditional Finnish sports clubs while featuring the iconic Hartwall wordmark.
The "Home Field" emblem anchors the identity - a graphic element drawing from sporting arenas that represents community across all sports. Performance-inspired typography pairs with handwritten accents balancing precision and personality.
Photography serves as a critical brand element with film-like quality capturing motion, emotion and authentic Finnish sporting moments. The result is energetic yet grounded: bold but familiar, distinctive yet instantly recognizable.
